Overview
A buttweld pipe cap is a dished end closure welded onto the end of a pipe to seal a run, close a header or provide a future tie-in point. Made to ASME B16.9, it is a pressure-containing component matched to the pipe's material specification, schedule and certification.
Every cap is produced to the applicable material specification with full traceability, supplied with EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 test certificates and, for boiler and steam service, IBR Form III-C certification.
